Spring in the PNW is a mixed bag. The weather oscillates for a few months between rain, cold, sunny days that hint at summer, wind, and more rain. Yet the trees are in full bloom and iris are unfolding everywhere we look. The days are lengthening again, and there's no doubt that we are slowly creeping out of a dark winter. We're itching to ditch our bulky sweaters, but it will be a while before we're ready for those summer dresses. Let's be real: it can be hard to dress for the spring we are ready for while a chill remains in the air.
Lucky for you, here at Fringe we are prepared to help you transition into spring in style! Over the next several weeks we will be sharing Spring Style Tips for this in-between time of year. First up: Dark Florals!
We may not be ready yet for pastel blooms or the bold florals of summer, but darker floral prints are perfect for this time of year. Ease into spring with a hint of the print that can still be worn with cozy jeans and floppy hats. This dark floral baseball tee brings spring into your outfit while allowing you the comfort and layers that we still crave on cooler days.
Deep blue painted flowers nod to winter while popping against a fresh, crisp white. Wear with a sweater now, and alone as the weather heats up.
Layer a black and white floral kimono over a bright, solid top and black skinny jeans for just the right pop of color. Finish off the look with a botanical necklace.
Longer bell sleeves will keep you covered, but for extra warmth layer with leggings and a spring scarf, and top it off with a felted hat.
Vintage florals take a bold twist in black and white. Wear this little cap sleeve dress over colored denim for a pop that will keep your stems warm.
